Art Exercises
Humans are innately creative but so many people have lost touch with this ability and their inner artist. Art exercises, like these here, offer an opportunity to reconnect to our creative selves.
These exercises are examples of my design work. These can be done individually or in a group and then shared and discussed for a beautiful collective experience.
Our attention is under seige. In this technology era, our attention is a commodity that is fought over every second, and many of us are losing this battle and our ability to focus is slowly degrading. This exercise will help restore us, moving from attention deficit to attention abundance.
Our lives are full of transitions. At any moment, we must be in the midst of one transition or another! This visual art exercise takes advantage of collage art and how it helps tell the story of the experience of transitions and how we can be in them and also work through them.
Engaging in the arts affects our brains. This unique exercise, developed by Russian psychologist Pavel Piskarev in 2014, uses art to intentionally forge new neural pathways to explore and potentially resolve a challenge we face.
Engaging in art together is an incredible method to foster authentic connection and trust. This deck demonstrates that through 19 creative check-in exericses used at HopeLab.
